Bonefish tailing tight to the shore at high tide, striped bass crushing silversides in the harbor, carp sucking down mulberries at high noon, massive bronzeback that require eight-inch flies to convert, whether you’re pursuing apex freshwater predators or fast saltwater species, Scott’s all-new Wave keeps up with them all. Scott’s Wave picks up where their Tidal left off as a mid-priced offering with premium-dollar performance. The Wave is a super lightweight rod in hand, and it’s built with a focus on accuracy, high line speed, and super tight loops, making it a top-notch performer whether you’re staring down glassy calm water or are fishing in a blustery storm. Scott makes their Wave series with a fast action and in line weights 6 through 12, giving the angler an option whether they’re fishing tight mangrove stretches in the ‘Glades or pursuing pelagics in a true bluewater situation. Handcrafted in Montrose, Colorado with high-performing componentry such as SiC, a custom machine-aluminum reel seat, and Scott’s ReAct Technology, the Wave is a rod that you can rely on anywhere predatory fish call home.

Blank

ReAct Technology - To provide flawless accuracy, impressive linespeed, and complete control, Scott begins their Wave with ReAct technology. ReAct Technology combines Scott’s X-Core technology with a clean taper and complex materials to give your rod swift recovery, so you never need to worry about those subtle vibrations killing feel or compromising your energy.

Multi-Modulus - The Wave also features Scott’s Multi-Modulus design. Their Multi-Modulus construction consists of a fine-tuned taper with varied tensile modulus throughout the blank–this translates to precision-focused stiffness, quick recovery, and ultimately, smooth loading and unloading of each cast.

Scott builds their Wave with an eye for aesthetics and gives the blank the classic Scott unsanded finish, accented with very clean blue thread wraps. Not only does this enhance durability, but its grey finish prevents light reflection in order to prevent you from spooking fish in super clear conditions.

Guides

SiC Stripping Guides - Scott adds SiC Stripping Guides to their Wave series. This choice in stripping guides provides great line slickness as well as reliable durability and a feel that’s anything but heavy. The SiC Guides also resist corrosion, so you can hit those saltwater environments without concern.

Hard Chrome Snake Guides - Hard Chrome Snake Guides further enhance the shootabiltiy of your line without adding weight. The Hard Chrome composition also remains durable and resists corrosion from saltwater situations.

Reel Seat

Custom Machined Aluminum Reel Seat - Built for heavy use in saltwater, this Custom Machined Aluminum Reel Seat is lightweight and anti-corrosive. This reel seat features a dual-uplocking construction to ensure that things stay snug whether it’s the first cast of the day or the twelfth hour on the casting platform. And like the rest of the Wave, this reel seat features an eye-catching look through its ocean-blue carbon insert.

Rod Tube

Scott packages their Wave with a hard rod tube. This tube is perfect for the traveling angler and it also gives a great place for your rod to rest when you’re not on the water.
