Norway’s official Olympic team sweater for the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, China. The design is a fusion of Chinese and Norwegian traditions, with a nod to Olympic history. The star pattern on the chest originates from the classic Norwegian eight-petal rose. The form is sharpened and crystallized, inspired by Chinese paper folding (called zhezhi) and Asian cartoons.

The OL Spirit sweater is made of 100% skin soft merino wool. It features a durable double-knit construction which makes it ideal for an active lifestyle. Padded stripes along the sleeves and a padded Chinese inspired neck hints to alpine sweaters from the 70s. Padded letters spelling “Norway” are knitted discretely into the back, only revealed when the light casts shadows. A protective merino wool flap under the neck zipper ensures comfortable aeration, without exposing the skin to cold air. This sweater is a part of our extensive OL Spirit collection. This is Norway’s official Olympic team sweater for the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, China.

The design is a fusion of Chinese and Norwegian traditions, with a nod to Olympic history. The star pattern on the chest originates from the classic Norwegian eight-petal rose. Here, the form is sharpened and crystallized, inspired by Chinese paper folding (called zhezhi) and Asian cartoons. In the center of the pattern you’ll find a crystallized version of the Ying & Yang symbol. The outcome is a futuristic look with a Dale twist.

Those fondly remembering the 70s will recognize the padded elements known from the alpine sweaters worn in competitions. The OL Spirit sweater features padded stripes along the sleeves and a padded Chinese inspired neck. The padding provides a 3D effect being both futuristic and retro at the same time.

We love to play with hidden details. Discretely knitted into the back, in the same color as the rest of the back, you’ll find padded letters spelling “Norway”. Being without contrasting colors, the three-dimensional text only reveals itself in the play of lights and shadows.

Another detail is the protective merino wool flap under the neck zipper. This ensures comfortable aeration, without exposing the skin to cold air.
